Here at Cave & Crag we are a friendly, family run business. We have been suppliers of quality outdoor pursuits equipment since 1973, and the current owners, Alan & Barbara Suttie have been in charge since 1980.



The main shop is situated in Settle’s historic market place in the Yorkshire Dales. We are based in a beautiful area perfect for walking, only 6 miles from the start of the Three Peaks walk.

All the members of the family and staff are actively involved in the outdoors, and between us we have a huge range of experience from climbing in the high Alps to rambling in the Dales.

Our policy has and always will be to offer a wide and varied range of practical outdoor clothing and equipment at competitive prices, and to provide a great quality of service based on experience and product knowledge.

We carry a wide range of outdoor gear to suit all pockets, including equipment for Walking, Climbing and Camping. We stock products from trusted brands such as Mountain Equipment, DMM, Beal, Sealskinz, Lowe alpine, Meindl, Scarpa, Vango and many more.

We  focus on Customer Service and aim to be able to provide you with a hassle free shopping experience. We will not take payment until your order is ready to dispatch and if goods are out of stock we will provide you with accurate estimated delivery dates. If you do need to return something this process is easy too. We want you to be happy with your purchase and satisfied with the service you receive from us.
