Camming Devices
Camming devices called 'Friends' first appeared in the mid 1970's. They were designed and manufactured by Wild Country.
Since then other companies have brought out their own versions of the Friend, and the camming device has grown in popularity so that these days, most serious climbers will have a few of these clever climbing protection aids on their rack.
