DofE Kit

Knowing the right product to buy for Duke of Edinburgh expeditions can often be the first challenge faced by participants. To make this easier, DofE,  Vango and Cave & Crag have worked together to recommend a specific range of Vango products, including a collection of tents, sleeping bags, rucsacs and sleep mats.

Both Vango and DofE have conducted extensive field testing and have earmarked these products as being performance led, easy to use and suitable for the variable conditions encountered by DofE Participants and leaders. All recommended products carry a DofE logo on this website. In store, they are easily identified by the DofE logo on the hang-tag.

The selected products are on sale now at Cave & Crag. Not only will you know you are getting great quality products, but for every item purchased, Vango will make a donation back to DofE to support their work with more young people.

About The Duke of Edinburgh Award

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is committed to providing for 14-25 year olds an enjoyable, challenging and rewarding programme of personal development. They can take part through schools, colleges, youth clubs, voluntary organizations, pupil referral units, young offenders institutions and businesses, to name but a few. It helps instill citizenship qualities within young people such as self-belief, perseverance and leadership skills.

Over 160,000 young people take up the challenge of the DofE every year with around 275,000 participating at any one time. Since it began in 1956, over 3 million young people have entered the Programme and almost 2 million Awards achieved.

The DofE is a registered charity and as such relies on the generous support of volunteers, local authorities, businesses, individuals and trustees to meet its commitment to help all young people realize their full potential.
