Vol 3 of the F&RCC clibing guides to the Lake District. The major crags of Scafell, East Buttress and Esk Buttress remain firm favourites in fine weather for the climber seeking out long, classic routes. They also provide some of the finest and boldest problems to satisfy the needs of today's hard climber. In addition, the valley crags have been subjected to a great deal of development and they now allow climbing across the full spectrum of grades.
