'GETTING COMFIER BY THE DAY' |
|
| Strengths: |
Getting more comfy by the day, all day comfort now close at hand. Excellent grip and lateral strength (resistance to twist). Gore-tex lining. |
| Weaknesses: |
Initially sloppy heel, reducing with use. Gore-tex lining (if you don't like that). |
| Overall: |
Raichle normally fit wide in the fore foot and medium at the back, which perfectly suits me, hence I did not pay too much attention when I bought my G5s (half price in Go Outdoors). Initially they seemed sloppy in the heel once I had them home, as though the heel was a wide fit, but this seems to be going away. It may just be the material was a little slippery. I really liked wearing these after two hard days guiding a group scrambling in Snowdonia, when my feet hurt all over from so much hard rock pounding through my Scarpa ZG20s. May get upgraded to 5 star performance if the comfort stays good (same with value). |
