Lliwedd was the first climbing area to be described in modern guidebook form way back in 1909. It was also the frist guide to be published by the then fledgling Climbers Club at a time when climbers regarded the cliffs of North Wales as a training ground for the Alps, and Lliwedd one of the most important crags.
Lliwedd is home to many high quality routes, and now has a number of modern climbs to E4 in difficulty making this magnificant cliff a venue for climbers of a wide range of abilities.
