The Mt Trail XT GTX is the full grain leather version of the popular Mt Trail for those who prefer the more traditional look. For extra protection around the toe area there is a rubber kick band, and the midsole is slightly stiffer than the Mt Trail giving more support for rough terrain.

It is a comfortable and flexible walking boot suitable for 3 season use walking and backpacking.

  • Goretex lining makes the boot waterproof and breathable.
  • Memory foam in the tongue and ankle area gives a very positive fit.
  • Slightly stiffened midsole construction.

  'REALLY COMFORTABLE BOOT'
Strengths: Comfortable from day one, Stable and supportive which was really important as I have a damaged ankle from a climbing accident a few years ago. The high ankle cuff was especially supportive.
Weaknesses: I bought them about 18 months ago and a couple of the luggs on the sole came off in strips, which rendered them useless, apart from that no weakness'
Overall: Ive done tons of heavy walking in these and I was gutted to lose a very decent pair of boots, and now can't find a retailer that still sells them with the high ankle cuff.
