This is the updated version of the ever popular Meindl Borneo.

Meindl Borneo Pro is suitable for walking and trekking over most types of terrain. It is a traditionally styled boot with an oiled nubuck leather upper with a leather lining.

The cuff is soft and padded, but gives good ankle support, and the Vibram sole unit provides good grip and durability.

The addition in 2004 of Meindl's unique MFS system gives an exceptionally comfortable fit. There is a sophisticated foam insert around the ankle and heel area. This foam forms to the shape of the foot after being worn for a few minutes, and remembers that shape for the future, so giving a snug personalised fit every time.

  'COMFORTABLE, SUPPORTIVE, BRILLIANT'
Strengths: No breaking in required, amazingly comfortable, MFS system works great, even my sweaty feet stay dry and loads of support for your feet
Weaknesses: None really, but they aren't cheap and I wonder if I really need the gortex lining.
Overall: A top notch boot- especially, if like me you have large and wide feet. A great action in the sole and comfortable enough to wear in town
