One of our most popular shoes for use in the outdoors, The Magic Low GTX is a Gore-Tex lined fully waterproof shoe that is both lightweight and rugged enough for walking on prepared trails etc. Great for those with wider feet.

The upper is made from a combination of Nubuck leather and fabric, and the sole unit combines an EVA wedge with a hardwearing 'grippy' outersole giving excellent cushioning and long life.

We recommend the use of Nikwax Nubuck and suede proofing to keep your Meindl Magic shoes waterproof and in good condition.

  'HARDWEARING AND COMFORTABLE'
Strengths: After several weeks heavy abuse including, mud, marsh and sea (I misjudged the wave...) they look as good as new. No perceptable tread wear and just the most minor of creases to the leather. Adequate support and don't feel 'dead' underfoot. Dry but not sweaty feet.
Weaknesses: Grip on wet rock could be better (no worse than average though). Not overly light.
Overall: My choice of footwear is limited by having large and wide feet with narrow heels, but with shoes of this standard that fit pretty well I'm not too disappointed. Tough and durable, coping with mud and sea water. The grip/wear balance seems to be on the wear side, but grip is fine on all but the smoothest of wet rock. The only time I've had wet feet in these is when sea water entered where my ankle goes mis-judging a wave but they dried fine. I've had no problems with water getting in whilst standing in shallow streams or marsh. Weight saving over a lightweight suede/fabric boot isn't much but they don't feel too heavy. Price seems pretty average, quality a bit above.
