The Petzl Duo comes in two different configurations. They share the same features, only the bulbs are different.

The standard Duo is highly water resistant and has twin bulbs so that you can have a bright light when required, but if you need to save battery power, switch to the lower powered side light. The beam width can be altered by means of a switch on the side of the unit, and the battery box sits neatly into the back of the head. The headpiece can also be tilted to direct the beam exactly where you need it.

The Duo Standard comes with a halogen main bulb and a mini standadrd side bulb.

The Duo 5 LED comes with a halogen main bulb and a cluster of 5 LED's secondary lamp.

The halogen bulb gives a 50 metre beam.
The Mini standard side bulb gives a 20 metre beam.
LED headlamps do not give a beam as such. More a spread of light of about 10 metres.

Using the halogen bulb the battery life is 4 hours.
Using the Mini standard bulb the battery life is 12 hours.
Using the 5 LED'S battery life is up to 100 hours.

A spare halogen bulb is supplied as standard.
