'SIMPLE HANDS-FREE ADDITIONAL DIVING LIGHT..' |
|
| Strengths: |
Hands free tourch excellent for underwater photographers, points where you are looking during a dive, fits in a dive-suit or BCD pocket when not needed, useful as a second tourch on a night dive, Petzl service - just been recalled for free fitting or supply of gas absorbing system. |
| Weaknesses: |
Just been recalled to have a gas absorber fitted, can dazzle your buddy when you look directly at him/her, suffers from backscatter in turbid water, to bright to use when kitting up, heavier than the standard saxo for general use. |
| Overall: |
Petzl's attention to detail is apparent in the design of the lamp - double O-ring seals and locking switch, and their customer support in the recall for a gas absorbtion system. Would benefit from a low power setting (LED or battery saving) to allow the same lamp to be used when kitting up. |
