The Petzl Tikka is fast overtaking the Zoom as the most popular Petzl headlamp. It is very compact and lightweight. With 110 hours burn time, it is ideal for long term close-up work, as it gives a very white light. Also the lamp body tilts to direct the light where you need it. The reliability and long life of the LED makes it very safe. It has an on/off switch.


LED headlamps do not give a beam as such. More a spread of light of about 15 metres.

  'THE PERFECT COMPLEMENT FOR CAMPING'
Strengths: So comfotable and light you'll forget you're even wearing it. Has a Positive switch for on/off. A nice little touch in the electronics for on/off after selecting the power setting (you'd have to use one to know what i mean!)
Weaknesses: None really, apart from the embarrassment of talking to my Maglite and announcing "Your sacked, I have a new best friend!"
Overall: A perfect accessory for wearing around a campsite at night. The wide band makes it so comfortable. A must have, and would buy again if I lost it. Price reflects quality, Don't be shy with your cash. Different light intensity setting and tilt function make the perfect balance against battery life for close up things like cooking, eating or Rummaging in your tent .
