'AN ESSENTIAL PIECE OF KIT ' |
|
| Strengths: |
Fairly windproof, cosy for such a small piece of kit. Small enough to sit in a pocket until needed then warm enough to stop neck, ears, face or head from freezing. Can be used as a hat, scarf of makeshift balaclava.
Easy to wash, quick to dry. |
| Weaknesses: |
The price may put alot of people off buying one - "£10 for a little bit of cloth!"
Pity as they'll miss out. |
| Overall: |
This was a present I got given by my parents years ago.
Initially I thought "Cheers, another useless bit of kit to clutter up my cupboard with!"
It looks too small, thin and flimsy to be much use.
The price looks too much for what you think you'll get.
BUT!!!
If you do anything outdoors in bad weather get one (or two) and keep it handy. It is so versatile that me and my mates use them under our climbing helmets in the "hat" style, then use another pulled up around our necks, ears and faces to keep us toasty whilst sat on a cliff.
Yes, a tenner does seem alot of money for one, but on a freezing cold cliff they are worth their weight in gold.
Would be without one (or two!)
