Simple to pitch, portable and stable, these semi-geodesic, alloy poled tents have large storage areas and secure sleeping accommodation. They are stable and are ideal for all season use, backpacking or general camping.
  • Semi-geodesic construction for a stable self-supporting structure.
  • Flysheet is made from Protex TPU-RP 3000 durable taffeta polyester which is waterproof and reliable.
  • The HD nylon 5000 groundsheet is extremely strong, tough and durable.
  • Flysheet and groundsheet seams are taped for total long lasting protection.
  • Powerlite 7001 - T6 alloy poles give precision and strength combined with flexibility and corrosion resistance.
  • Pole sleeve tension adjustment compresses the pole structure and tensions the flysheet for maximum performance.
  • Front and rear flysheet doors for extra storage and allows 'through' ventilation.
  • The extended porch area makes excellent storage for bike touring etc.
  • Vents in the flysheet provide extra ventilation to stop the build-up of condensation.
  • Crystal clear windows in the flysheet give good vision and allow light in.

'DOES WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN. '
Strengths: Watertight. 2 vestibles of which one is massive. ventilation ok. 5 guy points, plenty of pegs to double peg and flysheet tensioners. Good head room although the inner space seems to reduce when the inner doors are closed due to the slanting entrance walls of the inner.
Weaknesses: high weight penalty if carried between two people whilst backpacking but we managed ok. Very tight inner if 3 men were to share but is certainly possible. Inner floor space was 100mm shorter on length and width than advertised.
Overall: I Got this tent heavily reduced as were clearing the lines to makeway for the 2008 model just after Xmas. I've used it for 2 nights on Dartmoor mid April08. Had some heavy rain in the night plus constant 20-30mph winds. Shrugged the weather off no problem and put no strain on the tent what so ever. Despite the weight of 4.5k the extra room came in handy for cooking and getting changed in cold wet weather and was nice that my friend and I could eat together under cover. Seems more aerodynamic if pitched small vestible into the wind although we tried it sideways and performed just as well but it wasn't blowing a gale, just 20-30mph winds.
