| Strengths: |
Easy to clip wiregates, great for those moments when you are really struggling and need to clip that runner. Easy to use with gloves on. Will happy accomodate fat nylon slings. Very big! Can be found fairly cheaply. A good winter/trad 'biner. Wiregates won't freeze in winter. |
| Weaknesses: |
Heavy compared to other wiregates e.g, Prowires (and only 4g less than some of my screwgates) but this is to be expected given the size, and is not really a flaw. If you are a sport climber, buy something else. Perhaps could be made lighter with an I beam type design but this is not currently available as far as I am aware in a crab this big. |
| Overall: |
If you are winter climber, mountaineer or trad climber then these are great, you can use them for racking loads of stuff, runners, or back to back in belays with double ropes if need be. A great, big crab. |
