With the eTrex Legend, Garmin has loaded a full basemap for you to work with. The Legend is also designed to provide precise GPS positioning using correction data obtained from the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS). This unit will provide position accuracy to less than 3 metres when receiving WAAS corrections.
The pre-loaded basemap contains lakes, rivers, cities, motorways, railways, and coastlines. The eTrex Legend is also equiped with additional memory totalling 8 megabites. The added memory allows the Legend to accept downloaded map data form Garmin's line of MapSource CD-ROMS.
