  • Alpine back system that features breathable 3D Air Mesh on all points of contact, and two padded foam stripes providing stability, comfort and ventilation.
  • Removable, very lightweight hollow section aluminium X-frame.
  • Detachable Vari Flex hip belt.
  • Side zips for easy access to buried items.
  • Height adjustable lid closure with central zipped compartment and valuables pocket.
  • Snow skirt.
  • Detachable rope lashing strap.
  • Compression straps which can be fastened over the middle of the pack.
  • Practical side entry zip to main compartment.
  • Numerous practical attachment options: reinforced ski attachment straps at the side, front crampon straps, NEW ice axe attachment, top lid attachment rings to store extra gear, gear loops on waist belt.

  'EXCELLENT'
Strengths: Bigger on the inside. Hydration compatible. Twin lid pocket. Narrow sack for scrambles and stuff. Very stable. Good harness and frame.
Weaknesses: Price? 2008 price is roughly £80. No wand pockets. Tall sack means difficulty climbing in a helmet.
Overall: Small enough for a daysack, big enough for an expedition, I used mine on ML training and can't praise it highly enough. Popular with the instructors at Plas y Brenin, which made me look like a wannabe, but they like it so who am I to complain. Harness adjusts very close for steep bits, but the back doesn't get sweaty, but the sack remains stable. Not sure about the built in sit mat, like the hydration sleeve, long back means it's comfy. Bit bright for some people but personally I like orange and red. The grade for reliability is a guess cos I haven't had it long.
