The Ogre does everything you need from a mountain waterproof, with no unnecessary fuss, weight or bulk, it will go all day in all conditions, on all terrain- this award winning jacket has been Mountain Equipment's best selling mountaineering jacket for over 5 years.
  • 3-Layer Gore-Tex® Pro Shell Ascender fabric gives great durability and breathability.
  • Superb active cut provides exceptional freedom of movement.
  • Award winning Stealth hood with laminated wired peak and hidden one pull adjusters. Also features NEW larger bonded fleece chin guard, improved fit around the neck and one pull volume adjuster. Moves with the head whether or not the user is wearing a helmet and provides total protection from the elements and maximum comfort.
  • Narrow water resistant pocket zips offer increased weather protection.
  • 1 external map pocket with covered zip entry and a fully taped pocket bag allows access to stored items without opening up the jacket to the elements.
  • Drawcords at waist and hem are tethered and concealed.
  • Adjust the cuff size perfectly to your wrist with the rubber cuff grabs.

  'EXCELLENT JACKET FOR THE MOUNTAINS'
Strengths: Hood fits great, fit is good - nice and snug. Pockets well placed - breathes well - even has a whistle and attachment points for glove dummy cords
Weaknesses: Nothing really - bought as a winter jacket - have a lighter one for summer - this one is great for the winter
Overall: Worth every penny - the new goretex version looks even more interesting ! - it has even made the price drop on the XCR
