The Petzl Tikka headtorch has over the years rightly gained a reputation amongst outdoor people for reliability, economy and ease of use. It is also widely recognised as a useful light source for emergencies around the home or workplace.

Petzl Tikka 2 is a re-designed and improved version of the Petzl Tikka. New for Autumn 2009.

Like its predecessor, Petzl Tikka 2 is a compact design with the lamp and batteries all being enclosed in the same neat compartment, so no battery box swinging around at the back of your head. It is the perfect size to keep in your walking or caving pack as an emergency lamp, but will give enough illumination to light your way for those Alpine starts, or night walks.
  • 4 bright LED's. give up to 40 Lumens of light.
  • 3 Light modes. Bright, economy, and flashing.
  • Up to a 29 metre beam (In bright mode.)
  • Economy light mode gives up to 120 hours of light.
  • Light beam will tilt through 90 deg.
  • Uses 3 x AAA Alkaline batteries. (Included)

  'THE PERFECT COMPLEMENT FOR CAMPING'
Strengths: So comfotable and light you'll forget you're even wearing it. Has a Positive switch for on/off. A nice little touch in the electronics for on/off after selecting the power setting (you'd have to use one to know what i mean!)
Weaknesses: None really, apart from the embarrassment of talking to my Maglite and announcing "Your sacked, I have a new best friend!"
Overall: A perfect accessory for wearing around a campsite at night. The wide band makes it so comfortable. A must have, and would buy again if I lost it. Price reflects quality, Don't be shy with your cash. Different light intensity setting and tilt function make the perfect balance against battery life for close up things like cooking, eating or Rummaging in your tent .
